A national movement of compassion, opportunity, and unity.

Who We Are

The United We Stand Canada Foundation exists to support Canadians in crisis while empowering the next generation to rise, lead, and build a stronger future.

We are a community‑driven, non‑political, non‑governmental organization rooted in compassion, dignity, and opportunity for all.

Our work is rooted in a simple belief:

When Canadians lift each other up, we all move forward.

What We Do

Across the country, individuals, families, young people, and small business owners are facing real challenges — from financial hardship and food insecurity to limited access to opportunity. We step in with support that restores stability, dignity, and hope.

Our mission focuses on three core pillars:

1. Supporting Canadians in Crisis

We provide direct assistance to individuals and families facing urgent hardship. Whether someone is struggling with basic needs, unexpected emergencies, or overwhelming circumstances, we help them regain stability and move forward with dignity.

2. Empowering Young Canadians

We partner with colleges, universities, and youth organizations to give students real‑world experience, mentorship, and opportunities that build confidence and open doors. Young people aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow — they’re part of the solution today.

3. Strengthening Canadian Small Businesses

Through our connection to the United We Stand Canada Marketplace, we help small businesses reach new customers, showcase their products and services, and grow in a supportive, community‑driven environment. When small businesses thrive, communities thrive.

Our Connection to United We Stand Canada Marketplace

The United We Stand Canada Foundation works hand‑in‑hand with the United We Stand Canada Marketplace platform — a space where students and small businesses can showcase their talents, sell their products, and build their future.

This partnership creates a circular ecosystem of support:

  • Students gain experience and income
  • Small businesses grow and reach new audiences
  • Communities benefit from local economic strength
  • The Foundation receives support to help Canadians in crisis

Every part of the ecosystem strengthens the others.

Our Commitment to Neutrality

We are not affiliated with any political party or government agency.
Our work is guided solely by compassion, community, and a commitment to supporting Canadians from all walks of life.

Why We Exist

Because no one should face hardship alone.
Because every young person deserves a chance to succeed.
Because small businesses are the backbone of our communities.
Because a united Canada is a stronger Canada.

Join Us

Whether you donate, volunteer, purchase a T‑shirt, or support students and small businesses through the United We Stand Canada Marketplace — you become part of a movement that lifts Canadians up and builds a brighter future for all.

❤️ Founder’s Message

Randy Bowen

When I created the United We Stand Canada Foundation, it wasn’t born from strategy — it was born from lived experience, from seeing hardship up close, and from believing that no Canadian should ever feel alone in their struggle. I’ve seen how quickly life can change, how easily someone can fall through the cracks, and how deeply a single act of compassion can restore hope.

This Foundation is my commitment to building a Canada where support is not a privilege, but a shared responsibility. A Canada where young people are empowered, where families in crisis are met with dignity, and where small businesses — the heartbeat of our communities — are uplifted, not forgotten.

I believe in unity. I believe in opportunity. And I believe in the power of Canadians helping Canadians.

Thank you for standing with us, for believing in this mission, and for being part of a movement that is bigger than any one person. Together, we are building something meaningful — something that will outlast us all.

— Founder, United We Stand Canada Empowerment Foundation

Governance & Compliance

The United We Stand Canada Foundation is built on a foundation of integrity, transparency, and responsible stewardship. As a developing national charity, we are committed to meeting the highest standards of governance and ethical practice while we work toward full charitable status with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

CRA Charity Application Status

The Foundation is currently in the process of preparing and submitting its application for charitable registration with the CRA.

During this startup phase, we are:

  • Establishing compliant governance structures
  • Documenting our charitable purposes and activities
  • Implementing transparent financial practices
  • Ensuring all programs align with CRA guidelines

Once approved, the Foundation will be able to issue official tax receipts for eligible donations. Until then, we operate with the same level of accountability expected of a registered charity.

Arm’s‑Length Structure

To meet CRA requirements and ensure ethical governance, the Foundation maintains an arm’s‑length Board of Directors. This means:

  • The majority of board members are not related by blood, marriage, or business ties
  • Decisions are made independently and in the best interest of the Foundation
  • Oversight is balanced, transparent, and free from conflicts of interest

This structure protects the integrity of the organization and ensures that all actions reflect our mission and the needs of the communities we serve.

Ethical Standards

We are committed to operating with honesty, fairness, and respect in every aspect of our work. Our ethical standards include:

  • Transparent decision‑making
  • Responsible financial stewardship
  • Clear separation between charitable and commercial activities
  • Respectful treatment of all individuals and communities
  • Zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or unethical conduct

These principles guide our leadership, our programs, and our partnerships.

Transparency & Accountability

We believe trust is earned through openness. As the Foundation grows, we will:

  • Publish annual reports and financial statements
  • Share program updates and impact summaries
  • Maintain clear communication with donors and partners
  • Uphold strict privacy and data protection practices

Our commitment to transparency ensures that every donor, volunteer, and supporter can see the real impact of their contribution.
